Dynamic Duo Redefines Beauty with Skincare Tailored for India

In a world overflowing with global skincare products, one mother daughter duo has chosen to challenge the status quo by addressing a question few brands in India have dared to ask: Are these products truly made for Indian skin?

Launched after years of meticulous research, Coforest is the brainchild of Sherbin Ahamed and her daughter Mehek, who set out to create a new skincare brand uniquely crafted for Indian skin and climatic conditions. Unlike many international formulations that often fail to take into account the nuances of Indian skin tones, weather conditions, and lifestyle factors, Coforest promises a solution that feels personal and truly homegrown.

At the heart of Coforest’s philosophy is to make sure that premium skincare should not be a luxury rather easily available to all. The founders emphasize that skincare should be safe, sustainable, and effective, without harsh chemicals or synthetic additives. By tapping into the power of natural botanicals, they aim to redefine how Indians perceive skincare, moving away from a culture of quick fixes toward long term skin health. This approach aligns with a growing consumer shift toward ingredient driven products that prioritize long-term skin health over fleeting results. From lightweight serums to nourishing creams, Coforest’s range is designed to work harmoniously with Indian skin, offering solutions that feel as familiar as they are innovative.

The venture is spearheaded by Sherbin Ahamed, who holds a certification in Skincare and Repair from Harvard Medical School in the UK. Drawing from her international exposure and combining it with the deep rooted understanding of Indian skin challenges, she and her daughter have created a brand that they believe could transform the skincare landscape.

“Most of the products in the market today are designed with Western conditions in mind. Indian skin reacts differently, especially in the context of our climate, pollution levels, and genetic differences. Coforest is made to bridge that gap,” Sherbin explained at the launch event.

While Coforest begins its journey as a new entrant in the Indian beauty and wellness industry, the brand is already being viewed as a disruptor. With growing consumer awareness about natural, ingredient driven skincare, the timing appears ideal. Industry experts suggest that Coforest’s research backed, plant powered formulations could resonate widely with an audience eager for both authenticity and efficacy.

For now, Coforest is a newcomer, but its vision is ambitious: to not only claim a spot in Indian homes but to reshape the way the country thinks about skincare, one that recognizes the uniqueness of Indian skin and treats it with the care it deserves.
